We're Hiring: Blockchain + AI Systems Engineer (EVM, LLMs, zk-SNARKs)

Relocation Available · Full-Time · $200,000/year

Lightchain AI is building the first decentralized AI inference network — where anyone can serve, and anyone can query. We're launching a permissionless compute layer on a custom EVM runtime (AIVM) that supports pay-to-prompt AI interactions, model proof systems, and on-chain coordination of inference workloads.

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer with deep experience in both blockchain infrastructure and AI model deployment to join us in building the foundational layer of a censorship-resistant, proof-driven AI ecosystem.

What You'll Work On

• Smart Contract Infrastructure (Solidity/Go): Build and optimize our AIVM (AI Virtual Machine), a modified EVM runtime for AI-native transactions.
• AI Inference Deployment (Python/Rust/ONNX): Work on compressing, quantizing, and deploying large language models (LLMs) to run locally on permissionless nodes.
• Proof Systems: Help design and implement zk-SNARKs, ECDSA-based result verification, and threshold encryption to ensure correctness and resistance to Sybil attacks.
• Consensus & Coordination: Research and co-implement mechanisms for AI model result aggregation as part of chain consensus.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in blockchain engineering (Solidity, Go, or Rust)
• Experience working with EVM-compatible or custom VM implementations
• Familiarity with AI model pipelines (transformers, quantization, ONNX, distillation)
• Working knowledge of cryptographic primitives like zero-knowledge proofs, signature schemes, and staking mechanics
• Bonus: Experience with libp2p, Tendermint, or federated learning
