Summary

The Content Manager will be responsible for overseeing SharePoint sites supporting the global datacenter physical security program. This role involves collaborating with team members and various departments to ensure compliance with standards and optimizing the system to make content accessible, well organized, and relevant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SharePoint features and capabilities and ISO 9001 standards, along with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, analytical skills, and project management expertise.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage and maintain SharePoint site libraries, lists, pages, and navigation.
  2. Collaborate with team members to implement and support content management strategies to ensure information is organized and easily accessible.
  3. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 document management requirements.
  4. Continuously evaluate and improve content management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Work together with departments and stakeholders to collect feedback and requirements, identify solutions, and collaborate with site admins and contributors to implement.
  6. Monitor and analyze site usage and content performance using analytics tools to refine and improve strategies.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint content and functionality.
  8. Provide training and support to users on SharePoint best practices and features.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding content management.
  10. Present to large groups of stakeholders, when necessary, for example training or business case proposals.
  11. Regularly organize and facilitate meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  12. Stay up to date with the latest SharePoint updates and trends.
  13. At the direction of the Global Technical Communications Manager, perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.

Minimum Hiring Standards

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, content strategy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Five or more years of experience working as an individual contributor in the field of content management, preferably within a global organization.
  • Exceptional SharePoint technical skills and knowledge, including improving user experience, ensuring compliance, and implementing and maintaining content governance; SharePoint certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and requirements for quality management systems; experience using and managing a document management system.
  • Experience with project management, such as planning, executing, and managing local and global initiatives, particularly projects related to implementing or maintaining ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications; experience with apps like Power Automate and PowerBI, a plus.
  • Datacenter technician or contract security vendor experience a plus.
