Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a part-time Interim Safety & Legal Compliance Manager

Overview : Part-Time Interim Safety & Legal Compliance Manager

Company: A large social networking app

Experience: Manage legal response to law enforcement and government agency requests

Location: Hybrid (Los Angeles)

Responsibilities:

• Manage the review and response to law enforcement requests for customer information in line with legal and privacy obligations and provide direction to the company’s customer support team members. Typical requests include subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants.
• Lead, refine, and maintain internal law enforcement request protocols, documentation, and strategy.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Customer Experience, Government Affairs, and Data teams to ensure compliance with global safety regulations, including:
• EU Digital Services Act (DSA)
• UK Online Safety Act (OSA)
• Various U.S. state laws governing dating app safety.
• Australia’s Online Safety Code of Practice for Dating Apps
• Support transparency reporting and regulatory filings as needed.

Background:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Legal Compliance, Law Enforcement Response, or Risk Management.
• Expertise in responding to legal process requests and understanding of privacy laws.
• Experience working with data to assess compliance risks and identify the types of information required for legal and regulatory requests.

Pay Rate:

Pay: $60/hour.
